Where Are New York's Winning Scratch-Off Tickets Sold?

New York rarely publishes the exact store that sold a top-prize scratch-off ticket. When a purchase location is confirmed by the New York State Gaming Commission, we record it here — the store, the game, the prize and the date — so it stays easy to find. This is a factual record of confirmed top-prize sales, not a ranking or a prediction.

Read this first: a winning store is not a lucky store
Every scratch-off ticket carries the same fixed odds no matter where it is sold. A store that sold a $10 million ticket is not any more likely to sell the next one. The value lives in the game — how many big prizes are still unclaimed — not in a store's address. We publish this list for the record and out of curiosity, not as a buying strategy.

How we confirm a location

The New York Lottery's public data shows how many top prizes remain on each game, but it does not name the store that sold a winning ticket. We only add a store to this list when the win and its retail location are confirmed by the New York State Gaming Commission. We do not publish winners' names.

For context, we also snapshot the New York Lottery's remaining-prize data every day, so we can see the moment a game's top-prize count drops — the public fingerprint of a claim — even before a location is confirmed.

Does buying where a winner was sold help your odds?

No. This is the single most common lottery myth, and the math is not close. Scratch-off odds are fixed at printing and are identical across every retailer in the state. A store that just sold a jackpot has the same odds on its next ticket as the store across the street that never has.

What actually moves your expected value is the game you choose: how many top prizes and large mid-tier prizes are still unclaimed relative to the tickets left in the print run. That is exactly what our Smart Score rankings measure, updated daily on official New York Lottery data.

Follow the game, not the address
When luck strikes, it is far better for it to strike on a game that still holds real value. In June 2026, New York's $10 million winner hit on 300X The Money — the same $30 game our Smart Score had ranked No. 1 in its class every day leading up to the win. Three of its four $10 million top prizes are still on the board.
